Interpret the brief
Brief :
The final major project is the combination of all your hard work over the year . its a chance to show off your the skills you have developed and the knowledge you have gained to produce an effective piece of media .
for your final major project you have the freedom over the end product that you produce. it can be video or photography based however the only exception is that you have to base your idea round your brief title which is time .
How ever you interpret the word time is up to you and your creativity.
Your final project if its a video must between 2.5 mins and 5 mins in length if its photography based you must have 8 to 12 images and must be edited professional .
You must think about what you want to do for your actual project maybe a music video , advert , Tv show , Mini documentary , documentary or maybe a fashion shoot this could be slow motion or time lapse and must use Sony 160 and Nikon 5100 for this task NO mobile phones except for behind scenes footage and filming for test shoots .
As its the final major project try to incorporate research for presentation , camera angles , editing skills and techniques .

You have to make observations of what you have learnt so far and research to back up your ideas and inform your development and outcomes as well as presentation to improve your work and ideas .

Creating Dramatic Irony : the audience can have some knowledge that the charters do not leading to suspense and more of an engagement from the audience .

Some episodes are set in one period or used in multiple flashback time periods .
Phineas and Ferb : Phineas and Ferb embark on various adventures during their summer vacation, while trying to keep their sister from interfering with their plans. Even though this kids animated show sounds like time isn't involved in the plot at all it is in the episode Its about time in series 1 episode 21 where Phineas and ferb repair a broke time machine from the museum and accidently take their sister Candance with them . Even in the theme tune Time is referenced as the Creator Scott they'd only get about 52 episodes, with two segments each. That approximates 104 days. And 2. It's a completely different universe, so society could have developed differently in Phineas and Ferb's world, allowing for 104 days of summer vacation.
The O.C : This US 200s Teen Drama is about Ryan Atwood a troubled and gifted young teenager from a broken home who is adopted by a wealthy and philanthropic Sandy and Kirsten Cohen and makes friends with quick witted son Seth . Time is shown in the show by the character development of Ryan from him at the start of pilot going to prison for stealing a car to near the end of season 1 he seems to mature after been adopted by the Cohens but leaves after he realizes his child best friend is pregnant and it could be his . Ryan is more responsible and trying to do what is best and you can see this . Even throughout the show you can see that Ryan attitude and he changes because he is with a family that loves him .
Futurama : Fry accidentally freezes himself and wakes up 1000 years in the future. He works for an interplanetary delivery service that makes him travel all across the universe with his friends Leela and Bender. Even if this show is in the genre animation or adult animation it uses time travel .

Time is the main part of this film as Time travel happens when Doc takes Marty In the DeLorean (a car which is also a time machine ) from 1980s back to the 1950s . This movie genre is science fiction , comedy , drama and adventure . They later turned Back to the future into a trilogy making two more films .
About Time : When Tim a young man played by Domhall Glesson learns that men in his family can travel in time and change their lives he decides to go back and win the girl of his dreams (Rachel McAdams ). This movie is a romantic comedy however it also is about family drama too . When Tim finds it that his Dad (Bill Nighty ) is dying of cancer . His father used time travel as often to extend his life he has now worsened the extent and only has a few weeks to live . This film message is that even with time travel tim is still bound to relaties of life and cant create a perfect day for everyone and you have cherish every moment .
13 going on 30 : Jenna rink makes an usual wish for her 13th birthday (Christa B Allen ) to become 30 somehow it comes true her wish comes true Jenna at 30 played by Jennifer Gardner wakes up as a 30 year old women . From this spell that makes her turn 30 it makes her and all her friends grow up even her best friend Matt (Mark Ruffalo ) . This movie is a romantic comedy and the main message is learning about the friendships you make on the way and and loyalty trumps power and prestige . Another message from this film is don't wish to grow up or it may just happen ! I think the use of time is used by when the characters are turned older they seem mature but yet still have the childish nature inside of them which shows we still have our inner child inside of us and that's what the film portrays .
Bill and Teds Excellent adventure : High school teenagers, Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reaves), struggle to finish a history assignment. Later, when they meet a man from the future, the two friends get his help in completing their assignment. Once again this movie is similar to back to the future and has the main theme of time but instead of travelling in a DeLorean car they travel in a telephone car and meet a man from the future to help them with their problems . This film genre is science fiction and adventure and the main message of this film is friendship and to be good to one another .

The main message of this movie is the challenges of living in modern society and the experiences we face as humans when we are isolated , afraid and lost . We should not waste time it is a precious gift and not be miserable and we only live in the present .

This film is your classic romcom and shows time through time travel . This message from this film is that everything happens for a reason .

The camera footage in this advert creates a sense of immediacy and immersion, as if the viewer is experiencing Kay's journey first hand and is set during the night and day to show the time she is willing to put in to achieve her dreams .

The meaning of the song Hung up is about feeling of being emotionally stuck partially on a relationship and the frustrations and impatience that come with it . The song uses the metaphor of being Hung up which is what the song is called to described this emotional roller-coaster of emotions with the repetition of time goes by so slowly lyrics from the song suggesting the pain of waiting .

However the Breakfast Club is not just a coming of the age comedy drama staring Molly Ringwald , Emilo Estvez , Antony Michael Hall , Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson its a film with lots of different themes such as love and relationships , social alienation, belonging and breaking down stereotypes. The main plot of the film revolves around the nine hour detention, a time frame during the day they spend together in School. They start to change their opinions of each after no longer believing what they parents have told them and new friendships are formed .Throughout spending this day together, they start to realise that their time in high school is a very short period of time in their lives and something they will never go through again.

The song was inspired by a scene in which a introvert and a school bully bond while none is watching . But at the end of the day when they are back in the classroom when they are from different worlds and the singers from simple minds commented that at the end of the day your a bad guy and we have nothing in common .
My two main ideas
Idea 1 : I really want to do a music video and sticking to the key theme time I am going to do a music video using the song Hung up By Madonna . This song has time references throughout the song and even has a clock ticking in a background ..
I would show how time passes in relationships moving on and becoming your own person which is what the song is about I would recreate the video a different way as I don't have locations such as London Underground and nightclubs so I would use different locations round college .
Idea 2 : I really want to create a recreation video sticking to the theme of time using the song Dont you forget about me from the Breakfast club . The film shows time throughout from the students at the begainning not really speaking to them becoming close and time frame in detetainion .

The question I asked is What locations should around college should I use in my music video ? according to the help of my primary research people suggested i should the outside areas and rooms around college , Library , studio and peoples park a park that is not far from the college . Microsoft form for main idea which is now Breakfast club recreation video
This is my new microft form I made which I have sent out to Level 2 media students and my media teacher James with questions related to the brief time . This is also primary research which will help me with my final major project and help me with my ideas .
I made a microft form and sent it out to level 2 media students and asked the question for my final major project related to time what locations should I use ? The majority of people said I should locations around college which would make sense as the breakfast club movie setting is in a high school .
Another question I asked to on my form to help me with my primary research is How long a recreation video should be ? according to my form most people said 3 to 5 mins . The video I have chosen to do is 4 mins and 24 seconds .
To help me with my final major project and the practical side of it . I wanted to know what sort of camera angles I should use . I had a few a answers like tilt and zoom but a few people said use the camera angles that are shown in the recreation which it helpful and will make it look like the real thing .
I also did a rank the movies questions to get an idea of what everyone's favourite movies related to do with time were which gave me ideas to help me with my final major project.
For my primary research further I put the question on my microft form to make a recreation video what things do you need to make it successful ? according to my form to make a recreation video successful I would need to stick to the them which in this case is time so I would use objects as clock or watch in my project as well as evidence such as research and behind scenes photos when doing my assignment .
I asked the question do you think time is a good theme as a general question on my form most people who answered my form said yes it is a good theme .
I agree with my peers as you can show and interpret time in different ways and this final major project allows you to do this .
Main idea :
My idea for my final major project is to create a recreation video from the movie the breakfast club . This film shows time because the characters are stuck in an 9 hour detention at school in this time they get to find out about each other and know about each other backgrounds and towards the end they become close friends .
Camera angles I would use : I would use the similar camera angles to what are in the recreation to make my recreation same to the original .
