The assignment brief :
context:
This personal assignment is all about the different jobs and sectors in the media and creative industry such as art , design and creative media and skills you will need will depend on the sector you are interested in .
learning about different roles in the industry you are interested in and developing skills further that are used in the sector will help you progress towards your personal aims and add work to portfolio .
requirements : produce a piece a work that demonstrates how you have developed skills you would need for your chosen role or sector in the creative industry .
Purpose : Primary purpose of this task is to capture and showcase specific skills you have developed relating to which role or sector you choose . The outcome of this could be used as part of your portfolio and help you get on to future courses , work experiences and help develop skills .

My planning and notes for my personal development assignment
400 words explaining the outline of my plan:
A career I am interested in the creative media industry is the radio and tv sector. I would really like to be a podcaster or a radio show host . Why would I like to be come a podcaster / radio host ? I think it would be nice for people to hear my voice and play music to make people's day better as well as create some amazing content for people to listen to and watch .
Soft skills and hard skills :
communication : I would like to work on and use my communication skills in this assignment because this skill is not only needed in the media industry but in everyday life and it would help me be more confident.
collaboration : I would like to work on my collaboration skills as I will be working with more people on this project .
Camera work : I am going to try and make sure my camera work looks good for my video will tell you more in my ideas paragraph.
Ideas for your assignment :
I was thinking of doing a Day In a Life film as a student at Grimsby institute then ask some students around collage some questions about collage and what collage is life is like and what their course is like as well as some Freya fun film questions to add in there . I would like to be a podcaster and even a interviewer on the red carpet so doing something like this would help develop my skill further .

Tripod: Balance camera
Camera : Not sure what sort of camera to use yet I'm thinking of getting a camcorder as its easy to carry and take round collage and use at home .

Microphones : to make sure you can hear people .
what locations are you going to use ?
I think I am going to do some filming at home and the rest of the filming would be a Grimsby institute .
Will you use actors /models for your film ?
I will need some people in my video including me . I'm not sure which people I will need but I have a few people in mind .
Will you need props ?
I'm not sure yet . Maybe my notepad which has questions in I have to ask people .

New plan :
From my tutor James feedback I think I am going to do a podcast for my personal development as it would develop both hard skills and soft skills as well this is more of the sector I more want to go into podcasting and radio .
My main idea :
I am going to a podcast about college life at Grimsby Instuite and I have already decided on the name of podcast which is going to be called Not another Collage Podcast .
On this podcast I am going to ask students questions about college as well as some of my own questions to finish .

Skills to improve on this assignment
Soft skills :
Communication : I would like to improve on my communication skills for this assignment because not only is it a skill you need and use in every day life but especially if you want to work in the media industry . I would like to be a podcaster or a radio show host so doing an assignment like this could help develop my skills further .
Time management : I would like to improve my time management skills for this assignment because for my previous assignments I have completed I have been last to finish or submit . However for this assignment and new plan I have started to make new notes and added them to my portfolio .
