SMART Targets
SMART targets means :
S: specific : Goals that are specific and have a significantly greater chance of being accomplished to make a goal specific and get it completed you need to remember the five Ws :
Who : Who is involved in the goal ?
What : What do I want to accomplish ?
Where : Where do I want to achieve this goal ?
When : when do I want to achieve this goal ?
Why : Why Do I want  to achieve this goal ?
M:measurable: for your smart targets you must have a criteria for measuring progress  if there is no criteria you will not be able to measure and track you progress and reach your goal and you need to think about these things while doing it to have a successful measurable goal  :
How Much / many ?
How do you know if I have reached my goal ?
What is my indictor of progress ?

A: achievable : For this smart target it must be achievable and attainable this will help you  and figure out  ways to achieve your goals and work towards it however the achievability of the goal should be  stretch to make you feel challenged but not too challenging to you can achieve it   think about :
Do I have the resources and the capabilities to achieve the goal ? if not what do I need ?
Have others been successfully before ?

R: Realistic : This  smart target must be realistic in that goal in that goal can be actually achieved given resources and time. A smart target is likely to be realistic if you believe that you can accomplish it  think about it :
Is the goal realistic and within  reach ?
Is the goal reachable given time and resources ?
Are you able to commit to achieving the goal ?

T: Time Bound : This Smart targets has a start and finish . if the  goal is not time constrained there is not time constrained  and there will be no urgency  and less motivation to finish  and achieve the goal  think about his :
Does my goal have my deadline ?
By when do want to achieve your goal ?
Smart Targets are important  because they are help us be organised and achieve our goals for the future .

where do I want to achieve this goal : I will attending collage everyday not just for media lessons but for maths lessons If I want that Grade 4 and ask  questions if I am not sure and block out people that are being annoying and constate on my work .
when do I want to achieve this goal ; By the end  the time of  maths exams  and get the result of grade 4 or even higher but i would be happy with happy with grade 4 .
why do I want to achieve this goal : I want to achieve this goal because  I want to have a maths GCSE grade and to prove people  I can do this .
2. Get at least a merit  in Media  course
Who will help me get there : me and my Media teacher James
what would i need to do accomplish? : I would like to get a merit because I would feel like I have done myself proud and  as well as my teacher . To accomplish this I need to be more organised   and I need  to improve my time  management skills  I recently got a pass in my recent assignment  I am proud of myself but I wished  I  had got better grade  However thanks to the feedback of my teacher I know what to improve on for next time and for further assignments .
Where do I want to achieve this goal ? :I need to achieve this goal by attending collage which I will do everyday and ask questions if not sure .
when do I want to achieve this goal ? : I want to achieve this goal by the end of the next assignment .

Extra research : Podcasts
To help me with personal development assignment I have been listening to podcasts to help me gain a bit more of a understanding of  what sort of things to say and do on a podcast . On Spotify  I found this podcast Called Beyond the O.C  which is hosted by  Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clark   who  both started on the  teen drama The O.C Rachel Bilson  (Summer Roberts) and Melinda Clark  (Julia cooper ). In the podcast they talk  about favourite episodes  of the O.C and get members of the cast on the podcast too .
The episode I listened to was where Rachel and Melinda talked  Ben McKenzie who played Ryan Atwood  on the show and main character  and talking to him about the last episode   him been an actor  , his life as a father and his new book  which is called easy Money ,cryptocurrency , casino capitalism and the Golden age of feud  . Josh  Schwartz who is  the creator of the O. C was talking on this episode too .
I enjoyed this podcast a lot as I have just started watching the 2000s  teen drama The O.C and I think it has some good storylines full of drama , comedy and romance  and jealousy   it makes  me feel like  I am  in California in those situations so listening to actors like Ben McKenzie , Rachel Bilson and Melinda Clarke and O.C creator Josh Schwartz  talking about how the show was made and how fun it was film  is really interesting to listen to .
I have added photos from the podcast as well photos from the O.C TV show The End Not Near Its Here episode  which was the final episode from this 2000s teen drama .
To help me know a bit more about podcasts and what happens on them I have been listening  them on Spotify in preparation for my personal development assignment . I found this podcast called Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy official podcast  hosted by Pandora Sykes who is a journalist and Bridget jones expert . This podcast has recently been popular as there is a  new Bridget Jones film out (Bridget Jones Mad About The Boy) On  the podcasts Pandora Sykes has talked guests   such as Helen fielding the author of the best selling and loved Bridget Jones books but in this episode called Being Bridget Pandora chats to Renee Zellweger  who plays Bridget Jones   asked her questions about the new film , what's it like filming for a final time? and how did she make Bridget Jones into a funny character and  an icon   that is loved by  many generations today ?
I enjoyed this podcast a lot as Bridget Jones is one of my favourite romcoms . I love all 3 films I haven't seen the brand new film yet but I have high hopes . Bridget Jones is a very down too earth rom com apart from it been funny  and well casted it has a message  especially in Bridget Jones Diary . Bridget Jones Diary is all about a women's struggle with toxic femineity  this relevancy comes from her struggles  to algin  herself  with an ideal that she cant measure up to what society of what women expect as women are meant to have babies and a man while Bridget doesn't get that till later and she is constantly judged throughout the film . I like that in this podcast that Renee talks about this as its still an issue today .
I have added some photos from Bridget Jones's Diary  , Bridget Jones Edge of Reason , Bridget Jones's Baby and new film Bridget Jones Mad about the Boy   .I have also added photos from the Mad About The Boy official Podcast too .
To help me know a bit more about podcasts and what happens on them I have been listening them on Spotify in preparation  for my personal  development  assignment . I found  this podcast that is well know called Great Company hosted by Jamie Laing who is a Tv personality  and known for been in the reality tv show Made in Chelsea . He interviews and talks to celebrities about their lives   but also talks to them  struggles of been in the public eye too . he has talked to celbrietys on this podcast such as Emily Attack , Shirley Ballas and  Jack Whitehall . In this episode  of Great company Jamie Laing is joined by Rob Brydon  who plays the icon who is uncle Bryn  who is talking to him about The final Gavin and Stacey episode , How it felt to filming the 200s comedy show for last time ? , and was Rob Brydon put on this earth to entertain  ?
I think this podcast is really good and interesting  as you get to hear the guests point of view and sort of get to see peoples real feelings underneath all of the fame .

Evaluation
What Research and investigation work  have you carried out for this project ?
For my personal development assessment  I decided to do a podcast as the career I am interested in is either been a radio show hosted or a podcaster in the media industry . On  my podcast I talked about college life at Grimsby Institute  and did a movie music quiz with guests level 2 media students Emily and Rhys .  I did a lot of research to help me with my personal development  such as listening to different podcasts to get an inside to what sort of things people talk about on a podcast and do on a podcast . I listened to The Beyond the O.C Podcast which is hosted by Rachel Bilson  and Melinda Clark who both stared in the popular 2000s teen drama  according to my research  Beyond the O.C podcast which available to listen to on Spotify if you are a fan of the show like me and they have guest stars from the show talking about past episodes and remising about the show on the episode I listened to they had Ben McKenzie  played Ryan Atwood  on the podcast  discussing the finale episode of the O.C  and asking him questions about the show , How it ended ? Would you make a  another O.C spin off  ?
Apart from, listening to podcasts to help me with research  and investigating further I looked at different creative media opportunities available to me  and what I wanted to in the future with me been a Podcaster with the help of research I found there was so many to choose from to Grimsby Institute , University and even apprenticeships with this help it made me decided what I want to do for personal development project .
What practical soft and hard skills  have you developed on this project ?
The soft skills I have develop on this project is communication  as it was a  key part of my assessment as I did a podcast and I feel like on the podcast I showed my communication skills well  as I was asking people questions  and the host of the podcast . Teamwork is another soft skill I think I have improved on as in my personal development project I did a podcast and I worked with people in my assessment and had help from people too .
The hard skill I have improved on a little bit better is my computer skills as I am currently in the progress of editing  my final personal development assessment video  on premier pro  I have added screenshots of my progress on my adobe portfolio .
How  have you shown communication skills ?
I have shown communication skills  by doing a podcast for my personal development as I would like to be a podcaster which is an example of a job in the creative industry . I asked level 2 media students what college life at Grimsby institute was like and had a chat on the podcast and did a quiz about music that was in films .  I not only showed my communication skills in my main personal development project but when working on my personal development presentation  which I presented to James my level 2 media teacher .
Are there any skills you need to develop further in future projects?
The skills I need to develop for future projects are still time management as I have not finished my final edit yet  for my personal but apart from that I do think I have become more organised  in planning  when doing  my media assignments      I have make notes to help me which are in notebook and research .
Did your plan or project change ?
To start with I originally  wasn't going to a podcast I was going to a day in a life of students a Grimsby institute  filming around Grimsby Institute , asking people questions it was only until I had shown my personal development prevention of these ideas to James my level 2 media teacher and got feedback from students he said that I should do a podcast so I decided to a podcast as it related more to my career choice in the media and it seemed easier to do . So I changed my plan which can see due to this been put on my adobe portfolio and the development  of my old ideas to new ideas .
What would you change about your finished project ?
As much as I enjoyed doing my podcast with level 2 media students Emily and Rhys . The things I would change for next time is I would have more people on my podcast to get a few more peoples point of view across and heard . I think I would also use a different location for my podcast as you can see the whiteboard in the background as I filmed my personal development podcast video in the life drawing room as that was the only room available at the time but next I will make sure a media room is available as it would better fitting for the podcast .
