What are Ember Inns?
Ember inns is a collection of conformable local pubs serving real ale traditional pub food with roaring log fires embers inn are committed to create a home from home feeling and proper British pub experience and everybody is welcome. There are over 150 ember inns in the UK. There is an Ember Inn run Pub in Grimsby called the Wheatsheaf. Ember Inns is owned by Mitchells and Butlers PLC who own many restaurants, bars and pubs in England and Germany such as Vintage inns, Tobey Carvery and sizzling pub. They host events and have an Instagram and Facebook to find out more information about this.
Demographics : The wheat sheaf demographic audience is mainly for families and adults wanted to have a nice meal out in a nice pub with comfy , vintage atmosphere . Ember inns also have a dog friendly policy so you can bring your dogs in the WheatSheaf to join in the for the family meal .

Located in the heart of community the wheatsheaf is in bargate , grimsby , Lincolnshire, DN345AD and has all round delicious food and wine to die for. The opening times of the wheatsheaf are:
Monday: 11am –11pm
Tuesday: 11am –11pm
Wednesday: 11am –11pm
Thursday: 11am – 11pm
Friday: 11am – 12am
Saturday: 10am – 12am
Sunday: 10am – 11am

I had a look on the wheatsheaf website, and they have got menus which tells people that want to go to restaurant what is available. There is a lot of different starters, mains and desert to choose from and there are a lot of photos on the website.
The wheatseaf website has got a lot of photos of food and menus on the website as well as a lot of information however I think it could do with a few more videos on the website to get a little bit more attention .
For my work experience I am thinking of making an instagram reel for their social media page so they could get more of a following and then people could what the wheatseaf is the video would show the pub and what food that they offer which would hopeful make people want to go .
Social media is a big thing in todays society as everyone is on it and I think it would help the wheatsheaf if it had a more following so even posting a 30 second video or a minute video on Tik Tok , Instagram or even Facebook will help with this and get people talking or even take a few more photos of the food they have to offer . I know that the whatseaf have a instragram account as i follow it but not a big following so like I said maybe a couple of videos and photos is what the website needs .

These photos are from the Ritz which is one of most famous and luxurious hotel and restaurant in London it is very expensive too. From these screenshots I have put onto my portfolio you can see that there is many photos but also videos showing you what there is to offer at the Ritz . There is also a instagram profile which has reels , videos and photos to promote and make people want to go to ritz mainly for people who are rich . I think that Wheatsheaf like the Ritz should have images related to what the restaurant has to offer such as food , drinks , social events as well as videos much like Ritz does .


These photos are from Mcdonalds official website mcdonalds is a fast food restaurant we all know and love . Like these screenshot I have put on my portfolio I think it should add a few more photos to show the consumers to show what they are all about and add colour to website like Mcdonalds have done to the photos of the katsu Chicken wrap and add a couple of videos just to show what they are all about .
Food photography : a genre of photography that focuses on capturing beautiful mouth watering images of food
whether this photos can be for a cookbook , restaurant , food blog or social media page the aim of food photography is to showcase delicious dishes and can inspire to try new food that you have taken food of .




commercial photography / video : is associated with businesses it takes specialist skills and knowlege to capture an image that effectively promotes a product , service or business




Product photography : a branch of photography. that involves photographing products with intention of displaying , promoting and highlighting certain features of product




My own product photography I did in my level 2 photography in class i choose to do Cadburys hot chocolate . I added caburies hot chocolate bars around it to show the consumer what other chocolate bars Cadbury has to offer and even made a hot chocolate to show what it what look like when made .

My main idea for the work experience : Photography
I am going to take some photos of the wheatsheaf pub and inside the wheatheaf to showcase what it has to offer and even take some photos of the drink and show people what is on the menu here . I will use photo editing platform called photoshop to edit my photos .
